Five coordinated custom T-shirts with a sun, hearts, sunglasses, a star and a wave, next to sunglasses and a tote bag

A bachelorette weekend, a 30th birthday, a girls' trip, a lake house week: matching shirts turn a group of friends into a team, and they make the photos. The trick is a design people actually want to wear, and a way to collect sizes without a hundred texts. Here's how to do both.

Design ideas that don't look cheesy

  • Bachelorette and bridal parties: "Bride" and "Bride Tribe" are classics, but a simple icon (a ring, a sun, a disco ball) with the date or the city looks fresher. Give each person their role, like "Maid of Honor", with Personalize each shirt.
  • Birthdays: a big number, a birth year or "The Birthday Crew" with the guest of honor's name on theirs.
  • Group trips: the destination and the year, a small map or a mascot drawn for the trip.
  • Weekends and tournaments: a team name with a number on the back for each person.
  • Inside jokes: short is better. One line of text, set large, reads better than a paragraph.

Keep it simple

One idea per shirt works best: a bold line of text, one icon or one illustration. Stick to two or three colors that match your shirt color, and make sure the design is readable from a few steps away. We print full color, so gradients and illustrations work too. See the print size guide for how big to make it.

Pick colors that match

You don't have to dress everyone the same. Try one design on a few coordinated shirt colors, or give each team of friends its own color. The designer shows your design live on every color, and the print discount counts every shirt that has the same design.

Collect sizes without chasing everyone

Make a team order link and send it to the group chat. Each person picks their own size (and adds their name, if you use names) and pays for their own shirt, or you collect and pay once. You choose the date the link closes, and the organizer page shows who has signed up. If you'd rather guess, see how to pick sizes for a group order.

What it costs

You pay for the shirt and for each printed side, so a front print and a name on the back is two sides. There's no minimum, so a group of six works as well as sixty, and printing gets cheaper per side as the order grows: 10% off at 12 pieces of a design, 15% at 24, 20% at 48 and 25% at 100. The designer shows the per-shirt price before you add anything to the cart.

Timing

  1. Three to four weeks before: pick the design and open the sign-up link.
  2. Two weeks before: close the link and place the order.
  3. Within 2 business days: we print, or the next business day with priority processing ($25 per design).
  4. Before you go: pick up free at our shop in Hilliard (Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 5:30 PM) or have it shipped; shipping is free over $100.

Bring a spare

Order one or two extra shirts for the friend who joins at the last minute. Adding them later is a separate print run, and an extra shirt is a nice thing to keep as a souvenir.
