Schools, churches, nonprofits, government offices and resellers with a valid Ohio exemption certificate. The certificate is what makes an order exempt, so if you're not sure your group qualifies, ask the Ohio Department of Taxation. We can't give tax advice.
Which form do I send?
Most groups use Ohio's STEC B: one certificate for all your orders. For a single order, use STEC U. Outside Ohio? Use the Streamlined Sales Tax certificate.
Do I send it with every order?
No. Send it once. We check it and set up your account, and orders you place while signed in check out without Ohio sales tax.
What can I upload?
A PDF or a photo of the signed certificate (PDF, JPG, PNG or HEIC): up to 3 files, 100 MB each. Add your IRS letter too if you have one.
How do I know it worked?
Sign in and open the certificate page: it shows where your request stands (being checked, approved, or needs a fix). Once it's approved, sales tax comes off when you check out signed in.
Can I still pick up my order in Hilliard?
Yes. Pickup is free at 4129 Weaver Ct in Hilliard, or we ship it, like any other order.
